Dr. Bonds Biography
Sara Bonds, OD earned her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from the Pennsylvania State University. She then went on to earn another Bachelor of Science in Visual Science and her Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She graduated with honors in the top 5% of her class.
Dr. Bonds completed externships in several different modes of practice. She studied at the Laurel Eye Clinic in Altoona, PA. It was there that she gained an understanding of ocular disease and treatment. She participated in comprehensive eye examinations, cataract evaluations, and Lasik pre- and post-operative visits. Dr. Bonds also completed an externship at the Lebanon VA Hospital where she gained valuable experience in diagnoses eye disease pertaining to overall systemic health. She then joined a private practice in Chester County where she gained vast experience in all types of contact lenses.
Today, Dr. Bonds performs comprehensive eye examinations, with special emphasis on eye health. Dr. Bonds diagnoses diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts and other ocular pathology. She also has a special interest in contact lenses. Dr. Bonds fits a wide variety of lenses, and takes interest in "hard to fit" contacts.
In her spare time, Dr. Bonds likes to spend quality time with her husband and children, and their extended family. She also enjoys reading, hiking, biking, and gardening.
Dr. Dzurinko's Biography
Dr. Victoria Dzurinko, OD, FAAO earned a BS in Biology from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as well as a Bachelor's in Vision Science from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 1999. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from PCO in 2002. After graduation, she completed a primary care residency at The Eye Institute in 2003 and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry in 2004.
Since completing her residency, Dr. Dzurinko has had the opportunity to work with both optometrists and ophthalmologists as well as teach optometry students at PCO and the New England College of Optometry. She is also a Professional Development Consultant for Alcon Vision Care located in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Dr. Dzurinko believes that everyone benefits from comprehensive eye care and is excited to join Dr. Bonds in offering complete eye exams that screen for common conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetes, as well as focusing issues and refractive error. She is also available for contact lens fittings, including lenses for astigmatism and presbyopia.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Dr. Dzurinko is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. In her spare time, she can be found spending time with her chihuahua, Tyler, or at the gym taking a spin class.
